Deep learning for analyzing large scale 3D point clouds

Description

This project aims to develop new deep learning methods for processing and analyzing large-scale 3D point clouds, particularly in the case where these points clouds were captured to follow the progress of real-world construction projects.

Prof. Lalonde has established a research group in visual computing and artificial intelligence that has garnered international recognition. He and his group regularly publish in top vision and graphics venues (CVPR, ECCV/ICCV, SIGGRAPH, etc.), and collaborate with researchers in companies and universities in Canada and around the world.
