Research project

Federated Learning for Decentralized and Personalized Demand Side Management in Smart Grids

Description

The research project aims at developing federated learning techniques for demand side management in smart grids. The approach consists in creating general models of electricity demand management using historical data from the whole grid and then adapting them to the specificities of each site in order to optimize consumption and reduce costs. The project involves the development of algorithms adapted to this problem and their integration in a practical context based on real data and complex simulation models. The selected candidate will work in a multidisciplinary collaboration between a research group specialized in machine learning and a group working in the field of smart grids.
