Rhubarb leaves found in Quebec: compounds extraction, characterization and valorization
Description
Within the Chemical Engineering Department of Laval University (Quebec, Canada), a "Master's" level research project is available for a motivated person and aims to i) analyze rhubarb leaves found in Quebec to determine its composition and ii) establish possible valorization routes depending on the molecules detected.
This project will provide the chosen person with both theoretical (literature review on several subjects) and experimental (extraction and purification processes, analytical methods) knowledge. The selected student will also have the opportunity to participate in the design and conception of new laboratory setups in collaboration with other graduate students and technicians from the department. In addition, during their studies, interaction with citizens, farmers, and participation in scientific symposiums and conferences will be encouraged for students in our research group.
