Restoring Movement and Removing Barriers (RE-MOVE)
Description
The transformational goal of project RE-MOVE (REstoring MOVEment, REMOVing barriErs) is to integrate technologies, knowledge and approaches from multiple fields to enable the natural control of paralyzed muscles using real-time, user-controlled neuromodulation with somatosensory restoration. The RE-MOVE project will be implemented by an interdisciplinary team that has been working on the groundwork elements of this challenge and is ready to develop, over the next 6 years, a socially acceptable technology and regulatory package (the project deliverable) co-developed with persons with lived experiences (PWLE), clinicians, ethicists, regulatory experts and industry representatives who will be active members of our advisory committees.
