Description
This position offers a student the opportunity to contribute to the SPEME project funded by the FRQNT Stratégia program, aimed at designing deep eutectic solvents (DES) for environmentally responsible rare earth element extraction.

This project is carried out within a highly interdisciplinary research environment at the Department of Chemistry of Laval Université and the Center for Optics, Photonics, and Lasers (COPL), in close collaboration with Kemitek and with researchers in engineering, chemistry, economics, and political science. The selected candidate will work in a stimulating setting at the interface of fundamental research and industrial, technological, and societal challenges related to critical minerals and the energy transition, fostering innovation, collaboration, and strong engagement with the socio-economic ecosystem.
