Longitudinal Plasma Proteomic Profiling in Aortic Stenosis: Identification of Signatures Associated with Disease Progression and Clinical Outcomes
Description
This projet aims to investigate the proteomics associated with the development and progression of aortic stenosis, a dehenerative heart valve disease. The PROGRESSA clinical study (Study of Metabolic Factors Determining the Progression of Aortic Stenosis) is one of the most extensive clinical studies in the world focused on the progression of AS. Given the large amount of biological material collected to date, a specific study on the proteomics of this disease will be conducted. The selected student will work in collaboration with the teams of Dr Sébastien Thériault (supervisor) and Dr Philippe Pibarot (co-supervisor) to carry out the analyses.

IUCPQ-ULaval -cardiology research area
Our research center is the only center subsidized by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQ-S) which brings together research areas in cardiology, pulmonology and obesity/metabolism, three areas considered priorities due to the considerable economic and societal impact of the diseases associated with them.
